Bob ("we", "us") is a personal assistant for your home, available at askbob.app. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address.
- Home details: your address and public data about it (such as energy certificates, sale prices, flood and planning records).
- Documents, photos and messages you upload or send to Bob, in the app or on Telegram.
- If you link Gmail: emails relevant to your home, and the ability to send emails you approve.
- Jobs, quotes and tradespeople you work with through Bob.
How we use it
Only to run Bob for you: keeping your home records, answering your questions, finding trades and sending quote requests you have approved. Bob never emails anyone without your say-so.
Google user data
When you link Gmail, Bob reads emails to find ones about your home and sends emails you approve from your own account. Bob's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google data, use it for advertising, or let humans read it except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires.
Sharing
We don't sell your data. We share it only with services that help run Bob (hosting, AI processing, Telegram and Google), and with tradespeople when you approve a message to them.
Storage and security
Your data is stored securely and is private to your account. Access tokens for linked accounts are encrypted.
Your choices
You can unlink Gmail or Telegram at any time in Settings, and ask us to delete your account and data by contacting us.
